NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Six

WHILE FANS OF the New York Jets have had little to cheer about thus far this season, one bright spot has been the play of Chris Ivory. The former Washington State running back entered week six of NFL action averaging a gaudy 5.4 yards-per-carry, placing him among the elite of league rushers.

That all came to a screeching halt on Sunday with Denver’s defense completely silencing the Jets’ ground attack, most notably holding Ivory to a jaw-dropping seven yards on 8 carries.

In all, the Broncos held the New York running backs to just 20 yards on 13 carries on their way to a 31-17 victory. The loss makes the Jets’ record 1-5 on the season.
