WSU hoops verbal announces on Instagram

JUNIOR COLLEGE GUARD Renard Suggs has become the latest verbal commit for Ernie Kent. Suggs, a 6-3, 200-pound sophomore from Gillette College in Wyoming, broke the news himself on Instagram. His specialty is the three-ball.

"It's been a long grind and I been at the game for so long but it's just the beginning just wanna thank all the people who have been supporting me my whole life and special my parents and my siblings love all you and I'm proud to be committed to Washington State university!!! #holdthat #pac12 #family," Suggs posted.

Suggs has three-to-play-two at the next level. This season as a sophomore, he's averaging 14.2 ppg on 43 percent shooting. He's connected on 38.6 percent of his three-point attempts and is shooting 67.9 percent from the free throw line.

He's also averaging 2.8 assists per game and 3.2 rebounds.

In 2013-14, he was named second team All-region as a freshman, hitting 103 treys on 38.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Overall, he averaged 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 27.8 minutes, starting 31 of the 33 games he played.

Before heading to Wyoming for his junior college run, Suggs prepped at Woodbury High (pcitured above) in the St. Paul, Minnesota area and played for Howard Pulley (AAU). In high school, averaged 19.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
