| Cougars (3-7) vs Sun Devils (8-2)|
AT A GLANCE
10:00 am Pacific Time
1. Unleash hell.
WSU's best chance of winning is in proving ASU's defense is a fraud. Having not faced any of the top four passing teams in the conference this year, ASU's piecemeal secondary might be more vulnerable than many people think.
2. Take advantage of the ground game.
Oregon State ran right through ASU last week, catching them in certain blitzes and really making them pay. The ground attack remains a complementary weapon in the Air Raid, but it should be effective when Falk calls on it, based upon the pre-snap read.
WHEN WSU IS ON DEFENSE
3. Shut down running back D.J. Foster (pictured above.)
Foster is ASU’s best offensive weapon and is effective as both a runner and receiver. When Oregon State took him out of the game plan, the Sun Devils’ offense withered.
4. Contain Taylor Kelly
Kelly is a solid dual threat quarterback, even though he might not be 100 percent there days. Keeping him boxed up pays dividends whether he is passing or looking to run.
WHEN WSU IS ON SPECIAL TEAMS
5. Play to win.
Don't settle for field goals or punts if the fourth-down yardage looks attainable. There is little reason to depend on the Cougar kicking game for anything other than the bare essentials in this one.
