NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 13

IT MIGHT HAVE been a snooze fest, but Brandon Gibson and his Miami Dolphins aren’t complaining about their 16-13 victory against the New York Jets on Monday. The win improved their record to 7-5 and keeps them firmly in the playoff race.

Gibson, the Washington State great, caught two passes for 17 yards, while his Cougar counterpart on the Jets, Chris Ivory, ran the ball 16 times for 62 yards.

Here’s how the rest of the NFL Cougs performed in week 13:

Husain Abdullah, S, Kansas City, 6th season: Tallied three solo tackles in the Chiefs’ 29-16 fall to Denver.

Deone Bucannon, S, Arizona, Rookie: Posted five tackles (4 solo) in the Cardinals 29-18 loss to Atlanta.

Jed Collins, FB, Detroit, 5th season: No recorded stats from the Lions’ 34-17 win against Chicago on Thanksgiving.

John Fullington, T, San Francisco, rookie: Did not play; assigned to the 49ers’ practice squad.

Travis Long, LB, Philadelphia, 1st year: Did not play; on injured reserve.

Ropati Pitoitua, DE, Tennessee, 6th season: The Tacoma native assisted on one tackle in the Titans’ 45-21 loss to Houston.

Jeff Tuel, QB, Buffalo, 2nd season: Did not play; assigned to the Bills’ practice squad.

Marquess Wilson, WR, Chicago, 2nd season: No recorded stats from the Bears’ loss to Detroit. Made an acrobatic catch on his only target of the game, but couldn’t get both feet in bounds on
