O-lineman can ‘definitely’ see himself at WSU

FEW RECRUITS HAVE seen their stock soar more during their senior season that Phoenix offensive lineman Davis Perrott, who has landed 12 offers since September. The 6-5, 270-pounder was in Pullman on an official visit this past weekend and talks to CF.C about where things stand and his timetable.

“I can definitely see myself there,” Perrott said of Washington State. “It’s different from where I live (in Phoenix) but I think it’s a unique place and I can definitely see myself there.”

Perrott, out of Mountain Point High, is a man of few words when discussing recruiting and is simply matter-of-fact. But he did tell CF.C his decision is likely to come by mid-December.

“I’m not sure about (a leader). I’m planning on going to Indiana this weekend and then I’ll probably make a decision (sometime) next week," said Perrott.

Perrott said the four schools he is focused on are Washington State, Cal, Boise State and Indiana. After this weekend, he will have officially visited all four.

“Those are my main schools, (the ones) that are standing out to me right now,” said Perrott.

Perrott said he spent a lot of his time in Pullman with WSU o-line coach Clay McGuire, talking about the offense, his potential tole in it and the direction of the WSU program.

Perrott said his decision will ultimately come down to the people he met on his visits.

“I’m really just looking for the best fit for me… just seeing the campus, facilities, meeting all the people and knowing that it’s a good place for me… All the trips have been good,” said Perrott.
