During the 1997-98 season, McKenzie tied a WSU school record with 11 touchdown receptions, helping the Cougars to a share of the Pac-10 title and a trip to the Rose Bowl. His professional career included stops in the NFL with Philadelphia and Miami and six seasons in the Arena Football League, including the Colorado Crush 2005 team that won the Arena League title.
