Cougs release spring roster, LaRue gone

WASHINGTON STATE HAS released their spring roster, complete with updated heights and weights. A quick check shows the five members of the Cougar projected starting offensive line are all listed above 300 pounds. Two names, one of whom was expected to compete in the secondary for a starting job and the other on special teams, are no longer present on the roster.

Sebastian LaRue has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules, WSU SID tells LaRue, who had to sit out last year after transferring from Texas A&M, drew praise from Mike Leach late last season, with Leach saying LaRue might have been starting had he been eligible.

LaRue was expected to compete with Charleston White, Marcellus Pippins, Patrick Porter, Jeff Farrar and others this spring at cornerback.

Walk on punter Jordan Dascalo also no longer appears on the WSU spring roster.

On the o-line, a quick look shows returning starters LT Joe Dahl (6-4, 302); LG Gunnar Eklund (6-7, 308); Riley Sorenson (6-4, 320); RG Eduardo Middleton (6-5, 315) and RT Cole Madison (6-5, 303) average 310 pounds.
