Cougfan TV: Harrell, Manning talk WSU debuts

PULLMAN -- Graham Harrell isn't new to Washington State, but he's making the transition from offensive analyst to assistant coach in charge of outside receivers this spring. Also new to the Cougars sideline this spring is outside linebackers coach Roy Manning. Both talked after Saturday's practice about their early impressions.

Harrell likes his crew of receivers, and also has an eye on the quarterbacks, a position he knows well as a former standout at Texas Tech. Regarding what he's seen at quarterback, Harrell says he's impressed with their work ethic.

"If you have a quarterback who is willing to do the extra work, it sends a message to the whole team. It gives you a chance to be good," Harrell said.

Manning says he's been impressed with the energy and enthusiasm of his linebackers.
