Recruiting: WSU is QB Central next few days

THERE ARE FOUR known prospects Washington State has offered as a quarterback. Two of them will visit Mike Leach and Washington State over the next few days.

Four-star QB prospect Devon Modster is actually in town right now.

Cougfan.com’s Braulio Perez spoke with Modster briefly on Friday and he confirmed he had made his way to the Palouse from Las Flores, Calif.

The four-star prospect holds offers from half of the schools in the Pac-12: WSU, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal and Utah. He also has an offer from Boise State, where his brother plays.

Modster (6-2, 215) is at WSU through Sunday so he’ll be there to take in the Cougs’ practice on Saturday morning.

After Modster leaves, Ian Book arrives on Monday.

Book (6-1, 190) is rated three stars out of El Dorado Hills, Calif.

He’s already visited Boise State and is planning on visiting several other schools during his spring break: UCLA, Eastern Washington, Idaho, UNLV and San Diego State.

Also coming to WSU to visit, as reported by Scout.com’s Brandon Huffman, are two more Californians:

Four-star running back Beau Bisharat (6-2, 210) from Carmichael, Calif., will be visiting on Sunday and Monday.

Three-star WR Chris Taylor-Yamanoha (6-2, 180) out of Rohnert Park, Calif., will be visiting on Monday.
