Trio of Cougs on Phil Steele's all-Pac-12 teams

A TRIO OF COUGS were named to Phil Steele's preseason All-Pac-12 teams on Monday.

Wide receiver Gabe Marks, despite not playing last season, was named to Steele's second team.

Offensive tackle Joe Dahl, who allowed only one sack over 771 pass attempts last season, was on the third team.

Wideout Dom Williams (No. 80 pictured above with Marks), who turned heads this spring, was named to the fourth team.

No Cougs were named to Steele's Pac-12 first team or any of hisAll-American teams. One former WSU walk on -- Arizona State standout Jordan Simone -- was picked by Steele to his all-Pac-12 first team.

Marks posted a team-high 74 receptions and 807 yards as a sophomore in 2013. He'll be a fourth-year junior this season. Like fellow outside receiver Williams, he turned in a highly productive spring session.

Dahl (6-4, 303) a fifth-year senior, was named All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2014. A former walk on, he earned a team-best six BONE awards in 2014, given to the offensive lineman who performed the best each week. He was named WSU’s Mike Utley Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Also a fifth-year senior, Williams (6-2, 190) was fifth on the team with 43 receptions for 656 yards. While much of the focus was on Vince Mayle, Williams quietly grabbed nine TD catches in 2014, tying him for fifth in the Pac-12 and No. 25 nationally.
