Video: New WSU offers extended by Mike Leach

THREE-STAR wide receiver prospect Khris Vaughn out of Redlands, Calif. had an impressive junior season. But his recruitment didn't truly ramp up until June, when both Washington State and UW put an offer on the table.

As a junior at Redlands East Valley High, Khris Vaughn hauled in 65 receptions for 1,270 yards (19.5 ypc) with 16 touchdowns.

Vaughn, at 6-1, 190, also could be a return man at the next level, with 275 return yards on 12 kickoff returns.

Vaughn helped lead REV to a 15-1 mark and the CIF Division II state championship.

Will it come down to the Cougars and Huskies in the end?

The Cougs have also offered 2018 QB Ben Wooldridge, according to Scout.com.

Wooldridge attended a satellite camp the Cougs were working this month in California.

“Right now, my dream would be to go to Washington State or something like that, because they throw the ball so much...” Wooldridge told Scout. “I went up there with my mom to visit, and I looked around the school. It was nice.”
