The Cougars open up the regular season at home with six straight games, with the season opener against Northern Arizona on Friday, Nov. 13.
The Cougs then host Idaho State on Friday, Nov. 20 (the night prior to WSU football hosting Colorado). WSU welcomes Cal State Los Angeles to town on Tuesday, Nov. 24 followed by Texas Southern on Saturday, Nov. 28; Gonzaga on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and Portland State on Sunday, Dec. 6.
WSU's first road game of the season is at Idaho on Thursday, Dec. 10. The Cougars return to Pullman with games against UTEP on Sunday, Dec. 13 and Texas State on Friday, Dec. 18.
The Cougs conclude their nonconference slate at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, with dates and times to be determined. Scheduled to play in the tournament are BYU, Oklahoma, Harvard, Northern Iowa, Auburn, Hawaii and New Mexico.
In Ernie Kent's first season at Washington State, the Cougs played only five nonconference games at home.
“With the excitement generated last season, we’re excited to have more home games this season,” Kent said in the release. “This nonconference schedule will help us prepare for conference play and we hope to continue to develop a home-court advantage as the team matures throughout the season.”
The completed Pac-12 schedule is expected to be released in late August or early September. The Cougars will play Oregon and Oregon State this season just once, on the road. They will also play Stanford and California just once, in Pullman. (WSU played Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA and USC each just once in both 2013-14 and 2014-15. Since Colorado and Utah joined the league, not all teams play each other twice, with two-year rotations in place).
Season ticket renewals are currently available now through July 31. New season tickets will go on sale, Monday, Aug. 17. Single-game tickets for season ticket holders and CAF members go on sale Oct. 5, and Oct. 19 for the general public.
