TURNOVER AND an inability to capitalize on No. 24 California’s mistakes undid Washington State’s upset bid as the Cougars suffered a 34-28 setback Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Sophomore quarterback Luke Falk completed 35 of 49 passes for 389 yards, but threw an interception on WSU’s second to last possession to end the comeback effort.
