Cougar notes and box score from defeat at Cal

GABE MARKS' 10 catches at Cal on Saturday moved him into sole possession of seventh place on Washington State's career receptions list with 158. And his 141 receiving yards marked the sixth time in his career, and second this season, that he has eclipsed 100 in a game.

Fellow receiver Dom Williams also moved up in the record books on Saturday. With his 76 receiving yards against the Bears he pushed his career total to 2,135, ninth-most in WSU history.

On the defensive side, linebackers Jeremiah Allison and Peyton Pelluer, with 9 and 8 total tackles, respectively, led the way for WSU, followed by Marcellus Pippins with 7 and Darryl Paulo, Parker Henry and Hercules Mata'afa with 6 each.

  • Running back Keith Harrington recorded his first career start

  • Marcellus Pippins recorded his second interception of the season

  • River Cracraft caught his second touchdown of the season and 13th of his career

  • Gerard Wicks rushed for his first touchdown of the season and fifth of his career

  • Luke Falk recorded his second rushing touchdown of the season and third of his career. Falk also passed for 389 yards, his third 300-yard game this season and seventh of his career.

  • Safety Shalom Luani forced his second career fumble

  • Defensive end Hercules Mata’afa recorded his first career sack, and finished with 1.5.
