While CF.C's choice in the first round didn't make the final cut, we remain as opinionated as ever with the Final Four. Here's our assessment of each, and a recommendation on which combo should earn your final vote. No. 8 (white/crimson/white):
Without question this is the best looking of the final four BUT the Cougs have worn this combo before and with so many ways to mix and match, there's no reason not to rock a new look -- especially when you consider that USC crushed the Cougs and broke Connor Halliday's leg the last time these bad boys were in play.
No. 10 (crimson/crimson/gray):
Not bad at all but there's just something anti-symmetical about putting a dark hat on top of a dark jersey. This was the look of the Cougs in the late 1960s and early 1970s, but we no longer live in the Age of Aquarius so this one gets a thumbs down.
No. 12 (gray/crimson/anthracite):
You're basically looking at the standard home uniform, except the pants are anthracite rather than gray. It's definitely a natty option, but too close to the standard home uni to warrant the top spot in a three-week-long fan contest.
No. 13 (crimson, gray, crimson): Talk about standing out in a crowd. This combo is perfectly balanced, contains no colors other than crimson and gray, and looks different than just about anyone else you're going to see on Saturday's ESPN highlights. We endorse lucky No. 13 and advise that you not only vote early, but vote often!
