NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Eight

WHILE THE STOCK of Arizona's second-year dollar linebacker, Deone Bucannon, and Cleveland's rookie defensive lineman, Xavier Cooper, continues to ascend this season, the same can’t be said for fellow Washington State alum—and current Tennessee d-end—Ropati Pitoitua.

After appearing in an average of 14-plus games over the previous four seasons, Pitoitua, now in his seventh NFL season, has played in just three games this season. Sunday saw the Tacoma native again declared a non-injury scratch for the Titans’ 20-6 loss to Houston.

Elsewhere, Bucannon tallied five solo stops and a QB hit in the Browns’ 34-20 win over Cooper ’s Browns. The Cleveland rookie made one solo tackle.

Here’s how the rest of the NFL Cougs performed in week eight.

Husain Abdullah, FS, Kansas City, 7th season: Posted five solo tackles and one pass defense in the Chiefs’ 45-10 drubbing of Detroit.
