"Congrats to #Wazzu on getting bowl eligible before Oregon, Cal, UW, OSU, USC, Arizona St, Arizona and Colorado in the Pac-12," he Tweeted.
The Cougars have been bowl eligible just two other times over the last 10 seasons: in 2013, when they went to the New Mexico Bowl, and in 2006, when they were left on the outside looking in during the holidays.
Here we are, nearly at mid-November, and the 2015 Cougs aren't just bowl eligible. All but one of the seven bowls that the Pac-12 is tied in with is open to the Cougars at this point.
Yes, the Grandaddy of Them All, the Rose, is out given how Saturday's dominoes fell around the league. But the other six are all within reach. They are:
The Valero Alamo Bowl (San Antonio) vs. Big 12 No. 2
The National University Holiday Bowl (San Diego) vs. Big Ten No. 6
The Foster Farms Bowl (Santa Clara) vs. Big Ten No. 7
The Hyundai Sun Bowl (El Paso) vs. ACC
The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl vs. Mountain West
The Cactus Bowl (Phoenix) vs. Big 12
Bowl possibilities abound for Cougars
