CFC TV: Wide ranging OL talk with McGuire

PULLMAN - The focus for Washington State's Thursday Night Football is on the youth but offensive line coach Clay McGuire covered a number of areas after practice on the subject of the Cougar o-line.

Second-year freshman Andre Dillard played the entire second half against UCLA's quick edge rushers and performed well, his coach said. McGuire also talked about the blitzing tendencies of WSU's opponent this Saturday, Colorado, and that you can't accurately judge the Buffs by their 4-7 record.

McGuire talked about the success of the No. 1 o-line in recent week, and how some of the youth, such as Cedric Bigge-Duren and Drew Norvell, have played so far in the TNF sessions.

After 2015, the o-line will lose LT Joe Dahl and LG Gunnar Eklund to graduation. Among the candidates there next season is a guy, McGuire says, who has been on the cusp of playing this year - Cody O'Connell. See the video above.
