Gerard Wicks became Washington State's first 100-yard rusher since 2010 in a 27-3 win Saturday against Colorado at Martin Stadium

PERHAPS IT SHOULD be dubbed the "Ground Raid" for at least one game. That is because Gerard Wicks rushed for 123 on 13 carries to help No. 24 Washington State to a 27-3 win Saturday against Colorado at Martin Stadium. But Luke Falk's injury remained front and center and overshadowed all.

Falk, who was carted off the field during the third quarter after being sacked by Samson Kafovalu, completed 27 of 35 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown. He was replaced by redshirt freshman Peyton Bender, who completed 13 of 22 passes for 133 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Wicks became the Cougars' first player to rush for more than 100 yards in a game since James Montgomery in 2010. WSU finished with 149 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
