NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 13

THE PROFESSIONAL CAREER of Chicago’s Marquess Wilson has thus far been a one step forward, two steps back affair for the former Wazzu receiver. And his latest setback would indicate Lady Fortuna may have un-friended him once again.

Wilson was held out of the Bears’ 26-20 loss to San Francisco on Sunday due to a foot injury sustained on the final play of Wednesday’s practice. Before that, bad luck came in the form of a clavicle injury in training camp that kept him off the field for the first nine games of the Bears’ 2014 campaign.

The third-year Bear has made 28 catches so far this season for 464 yards and 1 touchdown.

Here’s how the rest of the NFL Cougs performed in week 13.

Husain Abdullah, FS, Kansas City, 7th season: Declared inactive for the Chiefs’ 34-20 victory against Oakland due to a concussion suffered during practice last week.

Deone Bucannon, LB, Arizona, 2nd season: Tallied four tackles (3 solo), a defensed pass, and a quarterback hit in the Cardinals’ 27-3 defeat of St. Louis.

Xavier Cooper, DL, Cleveland, rookie: Two recorded solo tackles in the Browns’ 37-3 fall to Cincinnati.

John Fullington, G, Arizona, 1st season: Did not play; on injured reserve.

Chris Ivory, RB, New York Jets, 6th season: Caught five passes on 5 targets for 22 yards and rushed for another 47 yards on 10 carries in the Jets’ 23-20 win against the New York Giants. He also lost his first fumble of the season.
