WSU recruiting notebook

IT CAN BE hard to keep up with the recruiting news, what with in-home visitation period and recruiting weekends taking place. Here's some of the news and notes of recent days.

Josh Watson tweet last night about his in-home with Clay McGuire and Erik Mele.

Utah jumped in quickly after Lyric Bartley verbally committed to WSU, trying to get the Taylorsville, Utah, prospect to change his mind.

is it time for the 2018 class already?  It is at Washington State.

Here's another 2018 prospect who picked up a WSU offer.

Washington State o-line verbal Christian Haangana, seen here with WSU running backs coach and area recruiter Jim Mastro, is one large human being.

By the way, Haangana's senior tape is in:

The midyear junior college signing period begins Wednesday but one JUCO product plans to walk on at WSU in January. Kicker Blake Levin told CF.C this week he's been cleared by the NCAA and plans to arrive next month for the spring semester at WSU, unless another school persuades him with a scholarship offer to head their way rather walking on at WSU. Levin was originally planning to enroll at WSU back in August but a delay in the clearing of his transcripts resulted in him not joining the Cougs for the 2015 campaign.

Travelling on the recruiting trail is glamorous. The only thing this meal of Roy Manning and Joe Salave'a's apparently didn't come with was a heart valve stent.
