VERBAL: Cougs land 6-6 OL with big wingspan

LIAM RYAN, a 6-6, 270-pounder out of La Verne, Calif., tells that he has verbally committed to Washington State during his weekend official visit.

Ryan earned a WSU offer way back in the summer after a satellite camp in Redlands worked by Mike Leach and the WSU staff.

He has long arms, great feet and a big frame and room to pack on the bulk. The La Verne, Calif., product  was the starting center on Damien High's state championship basketball team as a junior.

Rated two stars by, the o-tackle prospect pledged WSU over offers from Nevada, San Diego State, UNLV and others.

Ryan is still on his official visit, but we'll touch base with him tomorrow for more on his decision to go crimson.
