Who decides what uniforms Cougs wear?

WHAT UNIFORM COMBO will the Cougs wear in the Sun Bowl? Washington State hasn’t said yet. But we can tell you two things: 1) who makes the decision and 2) when the news is likely to come out.

Washington State on Thursdays typically announces, on twitter, the football uniform combo.  For this week, that’s tomorrow, Dec. 24.

We asked reliable sources with knowledge of the process who has the final say on WSU’s football uniform combos.  The answer was two words:

Bill Moos.

Indeed, Moos works with the equipment operations team at Washington State and then makes the final call each week.

Washington State’s AD has been highly involved since taking the helm at WSU in 2010 when it comes to the uniforms.

The branding and recruiting aspects of the uniforms Washington State wears are crucial components to WSU's consistent success on the football field, Moos has said often over the years.

As near as we can tell, one uniform combo has never been worn and is one we’d like to see for the Sun Bowl:

White helmets, anthracite jerseys, white pants.

Stay tuned.

If history is any indication, CougFans should know what Washington State's Sun Bowl uniforms will look like in 24 hours or less.
