Harris has three rides

Ra'Shon Harris is a 6-5, 275-pound lineman from Pittsburg, California and Harris is definitely feeling the Pac-10 love. With scholarship offers from WSU, Oregon State and Washington, there's little question which league he sees himself playing in. But which school? Harris still has more questions than answers right now, but he was able to satisfy his curiosity about one Pac-10 school in particular earlier this summer.

"I went to Oregon State's camp this summer," Ra'Shon told TheInsiders.com this week. "It was good. It was my first time really being out of the state. It was definitely a new experience. I new I wanted to go to one college camp this summer, so they were it. I saw that they wear orange and black like we do and one of our coaches said it was a good one to go to."

Harris mentioned Cole Linehan by name when talking about the best players he matched up with. And truth be told, Ra'Shon is still very much just ramping up his game. He was voted the most-improved player on his team last year and earned second-team all-conference honors. But with scholarship offers already from Washington, Washington State and Oregon State, it's clear a lot of coaches think his best play is still well ahead of him. Arizona State is also showing interest.

"I really could play inside or outside, or even on offense," RaShon said. "I'll just play wherever the coaches want me to play. That's the most important thing." He did admit a preference to defense, noting his love for that side of the ball and his ability to pursue. He currently runs a 4.9 40 and benches 325 pounds.

In his own words, Harris would like to stay "close to home, but not too close." "I really never thought recruiting would be like this," he added. The Beavers have had success recruiting Pittsburg, picking up a little-known running back at the time.

His name? Ken Simonton. "I'm still waiting on making a decision, but it's tempting," Harris said of the offers he already has. "You never know if you might get hurt the first game of the season. But I would like to visit the other schools that have offered and Arizona State too if they want me and whatever other school comes along."

When asked about Washington State, Harris said, "Hey, they went to the Rose Bowl and were Pac-10 champions last year, so you can't beat that." And the Washington Huskies? "Well, it seems like they never have a losing season."
