Cali DE Danny Bender pulls trigger on WSU

THE DEFENSIVE LINE recruiting for Washington State has certainly been intriguing as of late and on Monday night, some big news hit cyberspace. Moments ago, California defensive end Danny Bender, who received an offer from WSU just this past Saturday, announced on his Twitter account that he's going to be a Cougar

Bender had announced that he was backing off his pledge from San Diego State earlier tonight, followed by his pledge to play for Washington State this fall.

The 6-4, 235-pound defensive end made his announcement on Twitter this evening that he has commited to WSU. Bender was offered by WSU three days ago, on Jan. 23.

As a senior this season, the newest Cougar commit put up some big numbers, recording 74 tackles (54 solo), nine sacks, four forced fumbles and one interception.

In addition to WSU and SDSU, Bender also picked up offers from Nevada, Wyoming, Sacramento State and Northern Arizona this recruiting cycle. He's ranked two stars by
