New Coug QB verbal Connor Neville a phenomenal fit, says Alex Brink

THE COACH at Wilsonville High in Oregon spent time with Washington State learning the Air Raid before switching to Mike Leach’s offense last year. CougGreat quarterback Alex Brink says that is only one of the many reasons why new Cougar QB verbal Connor Neville will be a “phenomenal fit” at WSU.

Brink, in a podcast on the Oregonian, also said Connor Neville’s familiarity with the Air Raid will allow for a more seamless transition when he arrives to Pullman.

“(He) knows the footwork, he knows the reads, all of those sorts of things,” said Brink.

Brink also talked a little about what Washington State and Leach look for in a quarterback, saying the mental makeup and holding a strong, daily competitive fire within are as important, if not more so, than the physical skills.

The section on Neville and Washington State recruiting the Beaver State with Brink runs the first 12 minutes or so, you can listen to the podcast HERE.
