Hoops recruiting: Tennessee transfer Ray Kasongo visiting WSU

CBS SPORTS is reporting Tennessee transfer Ray Kasongo is looking at Washington State as a possible landing spot and will trip to Pullman next week on an official visit.

An earlier tweet by CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein listed five among Kasongo's schools of interest.

The 6-8-, 245-pound Kasongo, who spent a year at College of Southern Idaho before going to Tennessee, has two years of eligibility remaining after announcing earlier this month he would transfer.

Originally from Toronto, Kasongo prepped at Pikeville (Kentucky) High. He was an honorable mention All-State pick after averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5.5 blocks per game and was ranked three stars.

At College of Southern Idaho in 2014-15 he averaged 6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. He held offers from Oregon, LSU, Seton Hall and others before signing with Tennessee.

As a sophomore this past season, he played in 21 games for the Volunteers without making a start, averaging 5.5 minutes, 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
