WSU makes top five for touted 3-star WR

AS THINGS PROGRESS for prospects and their recruitment, it's often they'll announce a top 10 or top five via Twitter. And on Monday, three-star WR Maurice Bell, who holds double-digit offers, trimmed his list down to a top five and WSU is right in the mix of things.

And then there were five for Bell.

On Monday morning, the 6-0, 170-pound receiver announced a top five of Washington State, Iowa, Michigan, Arizona and Colorado. In addition to those schools, the Murrierta, Calif., product also holds tenders from Boston College, Nebraska, UNLV and others.

In an interview with, Bell said the Air Raid offense is something he's certainly thinking about.

"The coaches have been on me since day one about coming there and of course how much they put the ball in the air is nice for a wide receiver," Bell told HawkeyeNation. "I think my style of play can be a difference maker there."

Ranked three stars and the No. 78 WR in the country, Bell had a big junior campaign last fall, catching 51 balls for 956 yards and 16 touchdowns. Per HawkeyeNation, he is planning on making his college decision on his birthday, June 10.
