Nevertheless, we asked the writers and editors of to place their votes for the top 10 Cougs headed into the summer of 2016. Today, we reveal Nos. 9 and 10 …

No. 10: Cole Madison
The 6-5, 305-pounder started all 13 games this past season at right tackle, earning All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors. Out of Burien’s Kennedy High, Washington State was his only Pac-12 offer but with two years of college eligibility remaining, Madison already has 21 starts under his belt.

No. 9: Peyton Pelluer
WSU’s leading tackler this past season with 101 stops, the 6-0, 229-pounder started all 13 games at the MIKE in 2015. Out of Sammamish’s Skyline High, his 7.8 tackles per game were fifth in the Pac-12. He was named All-Pac-12 honorable mention in ’15, as well as CoSIDA All-Academic District VIII First Team and Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team.
