Washington State's Luke Falk tops Sporting News' Pac-12 QB list

LUKE FALK is the Sporting News' choice for the top quarterback in the Pac-12 conference. And the Washington State star is high up on SN's national list of quarterbacks as well.

"To see a Mike Leach-coached quarterback at the top of this list should not be a shock to anyone's system," Sporting News says in ranking Falk No. 1 among Pac-12 signal callers.  "Cougars quarterback Luke Falk averaged 53.7 attempts per game and connected on 69.4 percent of those passes. He finished as the top-ranked passer in productivity."

Sporting News also ranked Falk No. 6 nationally on its list of Top 25 quarterbacks. The 2016 group overall, SN says, features "a loaded class."

"Falk and Mike Leach teamed up to help Washington State win nine games last season, and Falk did that by averaging a FBS-best 380.1 passing yards per game with 38 TDs and eight interceptions. He also completed 69.4 percent of his passes. The system is part of it, but Falk manages that system effectively," reads the article.
