WSU in final three for 3-star LB David Morris, decision coming Tuesday

COULD TUESDAY BE a big day for the Washington State football program? On Monday, the Oregonian's Andrew Nemec reported that touted three-star linebacker David Morris has trimmed his list of offers down to a final three and the Cougars are among the schools still in the race for his services.

Will it be WSU for Morris?

That question will be answered tomorrow. Per the Oregonian, Morris, out of Sherwood, Ore., indeed is down to WSU, Cal and Oregon State. The three-star linebacker, ranked the No. 39 LB in the country by, took an unofficial visit to WSU last month and had glowing things to say about the trip.

“The visit was great,” Morris said in early April. “I loved the facilities and the coaches. I really enjoyed watching the practices, too. There was just something different about the way WSU practiced, it stood out to me.”

With his announcement coming on Tuesday, WSU fans will find out soon enough if he decides to call Pullman home for the next 4-5 years. Should Morris announce for the Cougars, he'd become the sixth verbal for the 2017 class.

Currently, WSU holds commitments from QB Connor Neville, OT Dontae Powell, WR Isaiah Hodgins, CB Teyari Venable and RB Cyus Habibi-Likio.
