TV/times set for Apple Cup, 2 other Washington State games

THREE WASHINGTON STATE home football game times and TV partners have been set, featuring a pair of non conference games and the Apple Cup.

The Cougars open the season Sept. 3 with Eastern Washington at Martin Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks. The theme for the game against Eastern Washington will be Top Gun and WSU Athletics will be giving away 10,000 pairs of Cougar themed aviator sun glasses.

Following an away game at Boise State Sept. 10, with a time still to be announced, the Cougars return to Martin Stadium to host Idaho on Sept. 17. The game is scheduled for 11 a.m. on the Pac-12 Networks. The Idaho game will be part of Hall of Fame Weekend as WSU inducts a class of seven into the Washington State Athletic Hall of Fame.

The 2016 Apple Cup will be played Friday, Nov. 25 in Martin Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and will be televised by either FOX or FS1. The network selection will be finalized six days prior to the game.

All remaining television game selections and start times will be made 12- or six-days in advance.

The game time for the Cougs’ game at Boise State is expected to be announced in the coming weeks (the game will air on one of the ESPN family of networks). Every WSU game, and all Pac-12 games, are expected to be televised this season.

ESPN will televise games featuring Pac-12 teams on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ABC, while FOX will air its games on FOX or FS1. FOX will carry the Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 2.
