WSU makes it official, signs QB Anthony Gordon to financial aid agreement

WASHINGTON STATE made it official on Thursday, issuing a release saying 2016 QB Anthony Gordon had signed a financial aid agreement with WSU. Gordon

As CF.C earlier reported, Gordon will arrive to WSU later this month with his 2016 class members and have 4-to-play-3 at WSU.

Gordon (6-3, 185) guided City College of San Francisco to the CCCAA and led all California junior college quarterbacks with 3,864 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. He completed 286 of 439 pass attempts (65.1 pecent), averaged 297.2 yards-per-gameand recorded seven 300-yard games. 

He was named the All-CCCAA Region I First Team and the Bay 6 Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the CCCAA Championship Game Offensive MVP this past season.

Gordon attended Terra Nova High where he was named the Medium School State Player of the Year by Cal-Hi Sports and earned All-State and All-Metro League honors after throwing for a Central Coast Section record 4,899 yards and 49 touchdowns as a senior.

Gordon was junior college teammates (and close friends) with fellow Cougar signee safety Robert Taylor. He also knows WSU safety Shalom Luani well, though Luani was a year ahead of him at CCSF.
