“I committed to Washington State. It just felt like it could be another home for me…With what they’re doing on defense, it just felt like the perfect fit for me,” said Hicks (6-0, 180).
Hicks chose WSU over Boise State, Hawaii, Fresno State, UNLV and others.
“Washington State liked my size, and they really liked the way I tackle,” said Hicks.
Assistant Ken Wilson ran the recruiting point for Washington State, with Hicks saying the two built a strong bond. Alex Grinch also was involved and Hicks said he plans on getting to better know his future position coach and defensive coordinator.
“He can play press or off, breaks very well on the ball and gets his hands on a ton of footballs,” says Biggins.
Hicks said he hopes to get up to WSU for an unofficial visit later this summer.
