VERBAL: WSU lands speedy 3-star WR Anthony White Jr. out of Miami

AFTER LANDING A verbal commit from Zaire Webb earlier on Monday, the WSU coaches wasted no time dipping back into the Sunshine State. This evening, three-star wide receiver Anthony White Jr. announced his commitment via Twitter and the touted prospect is going to be a Coug.

Make it two verbal commits from Florida on Monday for Washington State.

Moments ago, White Jr., out of Miami Central High, took to his Twitter account to let Cougar nation know that he'll be playing his Pac-12 ball beginning in the fall of 2017.

White Jr., a 6-1, 170-pounder, has racked up double-digit scholarship offers this recruiting cycle. In addition to WSU, he also had tenders from Illinois, Kentucky, LSU, UMass, NC State, South Carolina, Syracuse and many others.

It's a big get for the Cougs, Florida Recruiting Analyst Corey Bender says.

"White is a crisp route runner that does a nice job of providing a target and settling down in the holes of zones," Bender said. "This lanky athlete does the majority of his damage underneath, but is certainly capable of stretching defenses for large chunks of yards. White is more successful than not when performing a double-move to free up space down the field."
