Washington State releases its 2016 fall camp schedule

WASHINGTON STATE has released its 2016 fall camp practice schedule. The Cougars open fall camp on Saturday and will spend the first nine sessions at Sacajawea Junior High School in Lewiston, Idaho before returning to Pullman to resume camp.

The Cougars will go helmets-only the first two days of fall ball, adding shoulder pads on Day Three (as per NCAA rules). The Cougs will don full pads for the first time on Aug. 10, the fifth practice session of fall camp.

Practices will be open to the media and public while in Lewiston, WSU SID said in a release. When the team returns to Pullman, the first week of practice will be open to the media and public. Players will also be available to the media after practice for the first week in Pullman

Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 24, the first 15 minutes of practice will be open to the media and then closed for the remainder of fall camp and on into the season. Media interviews with Mike Leach and the coaching staff will be held after practice. Also starting on Aug. 24, players will no longer be available for media interviews until following the Eastern Washington game.
The Cougars open their 2016 season Sept. 3 against EWU in Martin Stadium at 5 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
