CFC TV: Washington State's Mike Leach talks outside WR battles, breaks down several position groups after Day One

LEWISTON – Mike Leach, one day into fall camp, said it’s too early to say whether any of the true freshman outside wide receivers will be ready to play in Year One. But Leach added they are further along than he thought they would be at this point, the group contains some big bodies and fast guys, and some of them really made good catches on Saturday.

The biggest wide receiver battle, Leach also said, is at the X.

Leach broke down several of the position groups after Day One, including the running backs. “We’re going to try to figure out how to get them all on the field,” said Leach of the four-deep corps of Gerard Wicks, Jamal Morrow, Keith Harrington and James Williams.
