Coug WR pledge Isaiah Hodgins decommits

FOUR-STAR wide receiver prospect Isaiah Hodgins out of Walnut Creek, Calif., decommitted from Washington State on Monday night. The 6-3, 190-pounder said he still intends to officially visit Wazzu but wanted to keep his options open.

Hodgins, out of Berean Christian High, made the announcement on twitter.

Hodgins verbally committed to WSU back in May.  In June, he was reclassified by Scout.com as a 4-star wide receiver prospect. In July, Oregon put an offer on the table. Future Cougar QB Connor Neville wasted little time back then in tweeting the Duck offer 'changes nothing, he's still gonna be a Coug!'  And Hodgins then retweeted Neville's tweet. A month later, Hodgins looks to have had a change of heart.

The scouting report on Hodgins: a long, athletic receiver with excellent hands and body control. He is rated the No. 6 wide receiver prospect out West, and No. 51 nationally.

As a junior in 2015, Hodgins hauled in 94 receptions for 1,483 yards with 23 touchdowns.
