Cougs No. 25 in first College Football Playoff rankings; Official depth chart changes this week for WSU

THE INITIAL College Football Playoff Rankings were released on Tuesday and Washington State made the list.

WSU was ranked No. 25 in the CFP, just behind No. 24 Boise State.    Four Pac-12 teams made the first CFP rankings: WSU, Utah, Colorado and UW, but none were in the initial First Four.

Washington State made its season debut in the Associated Press and Coaches polls this week at No. 25 in both metrics.

MEANWHILE, WITH Robert Barber suspended Washington State has made changes to its official depth chart for Week Eight.

Daniel Ekuale is now listed as the starter at nose. Taking his place as the starting tackle is Garrett McBroom on the chart.  Ngalu Tapa continues to be listed as the backup nose tackle, and Kingston Fernandez is the No. 2 tackle behind McBroom on the chart.

There are no other changes from last week.  Here's the official depth chart released Tuesday.
