NFL Cougar Highlights: Week 10

ARIZONA’S HYBRID LINEBACKER Deone Bucannon is on pace to exceed the successes he enjoyed during the 2015 campaign. The Wazzu great leads the Cardinals’ defense with 67 tackles. His current pace of over seven tackles per game would surpass his career-best of 112 posted last season.

Bucannon contributed six defensive stops (5 solo)—including a tackle for a loss—in Arizona’s 23-20 win against San Francisco.

Fellow Cougs Destiny Vaeao and Xavier Cooper were quiet in week 10 action. Vaeao recorded no stats in Philadelphia’s 24-15 victory against Atlanta, while Cooper was also absent from the stat sheet in Cleveland’s 28-7 fall to Baltimore on Thursday.

Jacksonville running back Chris Ivory ran nine times for 31 and caught 2 passes on 3 targets for another 10 yards in the Jaguars’ 24-21 loss to Houston. Good news regarding his fumbling woes, however. Not only did he keep a grip on the swine in week 10, he also recovered a fumble.

Joe Dahl and his Detroit Lions had a bye.

IN RELATED NEWS, Chicago wide receiver Marquess Wilson returned to practice last week. All accounts indicate that other than not being in game-shape, he looked sharp.

Wilson re-fractured his foot last Spring and opened the 2016 campaign on the Physcially Unable to Perform (PUP) list. The Bears have until Nov. 28 to place him on the active roster or he’ll finish out the season on the PUP.
