WSU eyes twin brother hosses in Portland with invitations to walk on

THEY DON’T QUITE fill a room like the Raymond brothers – the mammoth Moses Lake twins, Reed and Ryan, who played on the offensive line for Washington State in the late 1990s – but Jarred and Joel Daul of Portland powerhouse Jesuit High have nonetheless caught the eye of WSU coaches.

WSU has extended the two linemen preferred walk on offers. Joel tweeted the news about himself yesterday and Cougfan.com has since confirmed with prep sources in Oregon that both he and his brother received preferred walk-on invites from WSU.

While the Raymond Brothers (a.k.a. The Twin Towers) stood 6-10/280 and 6-9/270 when they signed with the Cougars in 1996, the Dauls are more conventional in size but they have the feet and frames to make them intriguing Pac-12 prospects.

Jarred (above right) is 6-4, 241 pounds and Joel (above left) is 6-4, 239. Jarred recently was named first-team All-Metro at both OL and DL, and Joel was named third-team All-Metro at OL.

They comprise two-fifths of undefeated Jesuit High’s preposterously good offensive line. Jaxson Kirkland, a UCLA verbal who had an offer from WSU, is also in the trenches for Jesuit, as is junior center Travis Spreen, who is widely expected to be an FBS prospect in the 2018 recruiting cycle.
