RECRUITING: An update on official visitors expected this weekend at WSU as list has grown to six; Feast your eyes on the video

PLANS CAN ALWAYS change, and sometimes right up until the moment a prospect is about to get on a plane. But with Washington State set to kick off in earnest its recruiting weekends, the formal hosting of prep and junior college prospects on official campus visits, here’s a midweek roundup at how the Cougs' weekend is shaping up.

Again, the weekend visitor list may see names added between now and the weekend, and the names themselves could also change. That caveat out of the way, here’s the latest:

CF.C lists six known official visitors coming into town this weekend.

One is rated four stars, five are rated three stars.  Three are wide receivers, two are cornerbacks and one is a DE. Two are uncommitted, four are WSU verbals.

The four-star prospect is Jamire Calvin (pictured above) who is listed at but 5-10, 150 pounds.  But boy, can he cut a rug. He holds offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska and others in addition to Wazzu.

Don’t sleep on the three-star guys and/or the ones who have already verballed to WSU either.  One, uncommitted three-star WR Bryan Thompson, has offers from most of the Pac-12 schools.

Meanwhile, three-star CB and longtime WSU verbal George Hicks was called ““one of the hottest DB prospects out West,” earlier this recruiting cycle by Scout.com national analyst Greg Biggins. Another longtime WSU pledge, CB Zaire Webb, has a linebacker’s mentality in a cornerback’s body.  We could mention more, but let’s roll tape instead.
