Cole Dubots

VERBAL: Cougs land 3-star on visit; classified on Scout.com as a RB but he'll come to Wazzu as a linebacker

COLE DUBOTS decided not to wait until his official visit to Washington State was over. The future Cougar linebacker went crimson on Saturday night.

Dubots is classified as a 3-star running back on Scout.com and he's listed at 6-1, 185-pounds -- but WSU is recruiting him as a linebacker.

The commitment news first broke on Twitter, with Dubots later confirming with CF.C through text that he had verballed to Wazzu as a 'backer

Out of Murrieta, Calif., about an hour north of San Diego, Dubots chose WSU over offers from Oregon State, Utah State and others.

His future position coach at WSU, linebackers coach Ken Wilson, is also running the recruiting point on Dubots (Murrieta is in Riverside County, one of Wilson's recruiting areas).
