BREAKING: 3-star Florida WR Travell Harris picks WSU on National Signing Day

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY has kicked off with a bang for the WSU coaches. On Wednesday morning, Florida wide receiver Travell Harris gave the Cougar fans an early gift, letting the Cougar faithful know he's headed to Pullman next season.

Harris is WSU-bound in 2017.

The 3-star receiver indeed announced his commitment to the WSU staff on his Twitter account moments ago. A Florida prospect, Harris had a final four of WSU, Arizona, South Florida and Florida Atlantic University.

In addition to his four finalists, Harris also racked up offers from Missouri, Purdue, Toledo, Western Kentucky and many others throughout his recruitment.

A 5-8, 170-pounder, Harris had built a strong bond with new WSU assistant Derek Sage, which certainly helped the Cougs here in landing the speeder WR.

"I'm officially committed to Washington State University," Harris told's Corey Bender. "I feel like coach Leach and his air-raid offense is best for me. I already had a Washington State offer, and when the new inside wide receivers coach, coach (Derek) Sage, came to Washington State, it was a no-brainer.

"He was at Toledo and I already had a great relationship with him, and then he came to Washington State. I will be playing in the slot and guys like me is what they need; a guy that is electric, versatile and exclusive."

With Harris on board, WSU is now at 26 known commits for the 2017 class. They might not be done yet, though. Could there be any other NSD surprises? Keep it here throughout the day with
