WSU's Shalom Luani: Fastest 60-yard shuttle among safeties at the NFL combine

SHALOM LUANI saved his best for last, clocking the top 60-yard shuttle time among the safeties group at the NFL combine on Monday. The Cougar safety was also a “top performer” in the 40-yard dash, 3-cone drill and the 20-yard shuttle, according to NFL.com.

Luani posted the fastest time among safeties in the 60-yard shuttle: 11.22 seconds.

He also clocked a 4.55 in the 40, the eighth-fastest time among safeties (his unofficial time of 4.56 was later made 4.55).

In the 3-cone drill, Luani was timed at 6.87 seconds, sixth-fastest among the safeties group.

In the 20-yard shuttle, Luani posted a time of 4.21 seconds (8th).

  • 40 time: 4.55
  • Bench press: 12 reps
  • Vertical leap: 31 inches
  • Broad jump: 116 inches
  • 3-cone: 6.87 
  • 20-yard shuttle: 4.21
  • 60-yard shuttle: 11.22

The Seattle Seahawks were among the teams Luani met with at the combine, according to the Seattle Times.
