WSU’s Robert Barber to NFL scouts: Watch me move

ROBERT BARBER has spent the past six weeks in California in preparation for Washington State’s Pro Day on Thursday. The Cougar defensive tackle tells Cougfan.com he wants to show the NFL representatives who will be on hand in Pullman one thing in particular.

The 6-3, 305-pounder wants to show the pro scouts his quicks.

“My goal is to do the best I can in front of those scouts, and to show them that I can move,” Barber told CF.C.

We asked Barber which events/drills he’s been focusing on most during his training.

“I think all of it because they all matter,” said Barber.  “But I was more focusing on the bench press, 20-yard shuttle and the 40.”

Every chance Barber gets to show his agility on Thursday also figures to be important.

“I want to show them how athletic I am, too,” said Barber. “I can't wait for Thursday.”

Barber has been training at Sparta Science in East Palo Alto, Calif. His preparation has incorporated the latest technology, as seen in the Sports Illustrated article

Stay tuned to CF.C this week, we’ll have more in our Pro Day preview on Wednesday and we’ll be at WSU’s Pro Day on Thursday.
