4-star QB tells CF.C he's at WSU for two-day unofficial visit

YOU KNOW HOW we’ve been telling you that Mike Leach and his staff are expecting big visitors throughout spring ball? Well, how does a 4-star QB sound? The signal caller just told Cougfan.com he has touched down in Pullman and will be in town until Friday afternoon.

There's a big-time recruit from Utah out on the Palouse.

Moments ago, 4-star signal caller Camm Cooper let CF.C know that he has arrived to Pullman and will begin a two-day unofficial visit with Washington State on Thursday morning.

And this trip is one he's had on his mind for quite some time.

“I want to see everything while I’m out there,” Cooper told CF.C. “Thursday I’ll be getting a tour of the complex, field and the press box. I’ll be meeting with Luke (Falk) and some of the coaches to learn about the offense.

“I’m definitely excited to see how things are since I’ve only seen it from an outside perspective. It’ll be good to see the details of it all with an inside view of the program.”

Cooper, who was recently bumped up to four stars, is ranked the No. 27 QB in the country by Scout.

He holds offers from WSU, Arizona State, Boise State, Tennessee, Louisville, Ole Miss, Oregon State and many others.

The Cougars have been high on him for quite some time.

“I’ve spoken with the coaches just about every day,” Cooper said, who is visiting Washington State this week with his dad. “They’re excited for me to get there. I’ve talked with Coach Leach on the phone probably three times in the last two weeks. He’s been telling me that he can’t wait to show me around and what it’s like to be up there.

“I love the offense. A quarterback wants to throw the ball and that’s all they do. It’s cool to see them be in the top two or three in the nation for passing yards. Out of all the schools recruiting me, I look at the stats and they’re the top in passing by far. It’s cool.”

The 6-4, 200-pounder added that he’s hoping to make his decision by early summer and is in the process of scheduling other visits.

These next two days could be crucial for WSU in their efforts to land the touted QB down the road. Be sure to check back soon on CF.C, we'll have more from Cooper after his trip.
