WSU recruiting class: Star ranking jumps with future Coug JUCO WR Calvin Jackson assigned 3 stars

WITH SCOUT.COM updating its junior college recruiting rankings on Sunday, Washington State’s 2018 recruiting class has climbed above the 3-star average.

Future Cougar wide receiver Calvin Jackson n out of Independence CC, previously unrated with zero stars, is now a 3-star prospect on

The five known verbal commits in Mike Leach’s class now average 3.20 stars.

QB Camm Cooper leads the way with 4 stars, with Jackson, WR Rodrick Fisher, LB Kedron Williams and LB Victor Terry all checking in with 3 stars.

For the two ‘backers in WSU’s class, Williams is rated in the top 75 nationally at his position and Terry is top 50 nationally.  Cooper is ranked the No. 20 QB nationally and is a member of the 300.

WSU’s class ranks  No. 55 nationally and No. 8 in the Pac-12 on  The Cougs have five known verbals while the average Pac-12 class has 6.4.  Oregon and UCLA lead the way 12 and 10, respectively.
