Puyallup head-cracker likes Cougs

ISAIAH BARSH, a 6-2, 225-pound defensive lineman/linebacker from Puyallup, makes no bones about where he'd like to play his college ball: Washington State.

"I don't have any scholarship offers right now, but I think Washington State is pretty much going to happen," he told TheInsiders.com. "And when I get it I'm going to commit on the spot."

He took an unofficial trip to Pullman earlier this season and is looking to take an official trip in November.

Coaches from Washington State, Oregon and Oregon State were believed to be on hand Thursday to see Barsh and the rest of his Puyallup High teammates demolish arch-rival Rogers 57-6. Isaiah scored a TD from his fullback spot. On defense this season, he so far has 13 sacks and 9 more tackles for loss. "I'm shooting for over 20 sacks in the season," he said.

Viking teammate Jacob McKinney, a three-star tight ened, committed verbally to the Cougars over the summer, and the two teammates have dreamt about playing in college together. "Ever since 10th grade we've talked about it," Barsh said.

There's only one school that could upset those plans. "I just need to see if Texas is going to offer me," he said. "That's where my family is, but right now I'm 95 percent sure I'm going to Washington State."
