The Ol' Crimson Booster Club

THE LEGEND OF OL'CRIMSON, the Washington State flag, celebrates its tenth year anniversary in 2013. Now recognized as an institution on ESPN Gameday and one of the greatest traditions in college sports –the Cougar flag is a testament to the unyielding spirit of the Cougar Nation.

Born and bred on the message boards, the Ol' Crimson phenomenon has received national attention from the likes of USA Today ,The Sporting News, ESPN , and Sports Illustrated, to name just a handful.

As of this writing, Ol' Crimson has appeared on 148 consecutive broadcasts of ESPN Gameday and 151 appearances, overall.

Thanks to Ol' Crimson Booster Club president and original flag-waver Tom Pounds, Club founder and secretary/treasurer John Bley, readers, and hundreds of brave Crimson Soldiers, as well as the financial support of Cougar faithful, Ol' Crimson has captured the attention and admiration of the college football world.

Ol' Crimson and Ol' White on ESPN Gameday

In order to ensure the continuous flying of Ol' Crimson, a non-profit corporation (in the state of Washington)was formed in 2003 for, among other things, the financial support to proudly wave the WSU flag at ESPN Gameday sites throughout the nation until the aforementioned show is hosted by Washington State University at or near the environs of Martin Stadium, Pullman, Washington.

Those of you that wish to donate money to the continued cause of seeing Ol' Crimson fly Saturday mornings on ESPN Gameday may do so by sending it to:

The OCBC and the flying of Ol' Crimson are dedicated to the memory of Johnny Bley, captain of the 1935 Washington State football team, and Syndie Pounds.

One of the greatest tackles ever to line up for the Cougs, Captain Bley was the epitome of Cougar Spirit and was the consummate team player. Syndie, the unsung hero of the OCBC, made the continued flying of Ol' Crimson possible with her love, support, and craftsmanship.

They are the true flag-bearers of Ol'Crimson.

Now more than ever, thanks for your support and GO COUGS!!
